My 1st Page

Today I was going through all my albums and found my 1st page that I did way back when I started working for Susan. To think, this is when the gogga bit me! These are photo's of my son when he was 2 days old - so sweet!

I must admit that when going through my albums and looking at 2 pages in particular - I would love to take them apart and re-do them, but I don't know if I should?

Chipboard Corset

I have spent the whole afternoon playing around with ideas for my tiny chipboard corset. I want to use it for a mothers day card - but I'm having such a block. I think it might be because its engraved, I can't find the right ribbon and what colour to use? MMMM! I'll keep on trying!

I did manage to finish my last page of our visit to the Elephant Sanctuary, and that's all I have done on the creative side of things!

Pamper Party @ Shoestring

Last night I had a group of ladies come in for a pamper party - their friend is getting married and they decided to each do a page for her album. What a fabulous idea! It went well and they all had a great time.

Mothers day card in a PAPER CIGAR BOX

Well my hubby occasionally puffs on Blackstone Cherry Cigars and I have this habit of keep all sorts of boxes. I decided to make a mothers day card that fits into this paper cigar box (recycling). All you need to do is cover each section of the box individually and decorate. The card needs to be cut a little smaller than the width and length of the box, decorate and you have your card for your box.

Mothers Day - Gift Ideas 1 & 2

I found these clocks and thought they would make the most amazing frames for scrapbooking. So I took them apart & this is what I came up with. I don't know about you but I think they are fabulous - something different. They are really deep dished and I just love the frames inside (apple & flower). Perfect gift for Mom or Granny for Mothers Day?

Canica from Shoestring Scrapbooking on Sistahood ETV

Okay, its over! I was on TV yesterday afternoon - Sistahood @ 3:30pm. Unfortunately I never got chance to watch, but I did ask Mom to tape it for me. Hopefully I can watch the repeat on Saturday morning or else I'll just have to wait to get the tape from Mom. I was very nervous when I did this interview and I really did not know what to expect? But Mom, Dad & my sister say I did well - I'll have to wait & see for my self!

Altered Frame

I found these photo frames and thought they were fabulous for scrapping. They are deep dished and are only R40 each. This would also make a great gift for someone special? I couldn't get a very good picture because of the glass causing a glare, but the frame is on display in the shop.

We now have them in stock - R40 each.

Blooming Beauty

All weekend we tried to get photos of the 3 kids, but Kruz refused to let us take photos of him with his sister and cousin. The only time he sat still was when mom had a frog in her hand?

The girls of course love posing for photos – they will do anything I tell them to. So I got these beautiful photos of the 2 of them.

Live, Love, Laugh - Webster's Paper

Live, Love, Laugh

This is one of the new papers we got in last week - Webster's Pages. I have been aching to use this paper. The nice thing about this paper was that I did not have to do much - all I added was some flowers, brads, buttons, lettering, dimensional glaze and some liquid lead.

Another reason I used this paper is because a lot of ladies have been saying that its to pretty to scrap - I think this is the perfect paper for 1 photo only.

Tell me what you think? The 10th person to comment will receive a storage box valued @ R60. Please note that you will need to come and collect the prize @ my shop.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

I have been so busy with classes, customers in & out,
new stock and other things that I have not had much time to anything else.
Yesterday afternoon I got a little time to do some scrapping – so I decided to
do this one.

Kissed

Just as I finished this page, I had a customer come in and ask me to do a frame. This is what I have been busy with up until half an hour ago!

Kissed by an Elephant

This weekend we took the kids to the Snake & Animal Park, and then we went to The Elephant Sanctuary Hartbeesport Dam. Wow! What a day, I think I had more fun than the kids.

I held a 2 week old lion cub @ the Snake & Animal Park. Isn't he gorgeous?

Then got kissed twice by an elephant @ The Elephant Sanctuary.

My Face

This was really an amazing experience. Touching, walking and feeding the elephants. I have quite a few photo's and I have been trying all day to do my pages, but with all the new stock that had to be marked and merchandised I don't think I'll be getting to my pages today!

Love You - Single Page

I was playing this morning using my new perspex ruler and flocking. The ruler has small punched out circles in the middle and this is what I used to mark where my orange dots will be - it spaces them perfectly! I then used a 3D pen to make the orange dots.
I then used my swirl stencil to pencil draw the outlines, used a glue pen to cover my swirls and then added blue flocking.

Love You

Hope this inspires you to try using 3d pens and flocking on your pages!

Enjoy!
