I have spent the morning making some cards & altering gift bags. Tomorrow is a special day for me and hubby - its our wedding anniversary. We have been married for 4 years and my niece turns 4 tomorrow as well. I'm not going to put the pictures of the card and gift bag up on my blog just yet, because I know hubby checks my blog to see what I'm up to.

Everyone that comes into my shop has a comment about the altered sketch book. Unfortunately I do not stock sketch books, but you can find them at stationery shops and they are really cheap. All you need to do is cover the book, add lost of ribbons and charms to the binding and then use scraps of paper to cover the inner pages.
The reason I did the sketch book was to add all my favorite quotes and poems, and use up some of my scraps. You could use this idea as an album, journal etc. It would also make a great gift.

I have spent the day working on my desks bookshelf which is only 24cm high. I used matchboxes for my drawers, a toilet roll for my pen holders and scraps of paper to make my 16 page mini albums.
I'm thinking that this is a great gift for mothers day. I still need to finish it off - what I'm thinking is a inspirational quote in each drawer, photo's of VIP in the mini albums, a nice pen and pencil set in the pen holder and something on the heart.

With winter around the corner I thought it might be a good idea to make fridge magnets of quick & easy tasty treats. I know in winter we spend most of our time indoors watching movies and there is nothing nicer than watching movies with lots of junk food to eat. So I have made a fridge magnet of the 5 minute chocolate cake in a mug and I am making one for Melk Kos.

I had a round piece of patterned paper left from the kaleidoscope page I did - so I decided to try something else and this is what I came up with. This is my sisters daughter - guess who's going to want this?

Today they confirmed when the show will be aired. They interviewed me about scrapbooking - but anyway here is the show date info!
Show: Sistahood on E.T.V
Date: 20 April 2009
This is perfect for a little boys room - I have left 3 blank spaces for photos. I need to catch Kruz playing soccer with Dad!! But lately every time I try to get a photo of him, he will hide his face or run away. I think he is tired of Mom and the camera??
I was busy browsing the web and came across Mirkwood Designs. This site has all sorts of fabulous templates available. I have used the Cake Box template to make a thank you box for a special friend - I will post the picture later. There are so many other templates I would like to try out. Go have a look!

I have been busy with another cupcake card! How I did the icing on my cupcake?
1. You will need a mixture of small beads
2. Cover the icing bit with glue
3. Pour your beads on the wet glue and remove excess beads
4. Then sprinkle some glitter over the beads and blow off the excess glitter
5. Add dimensional glaze and leave to dry

We went to my mom for the weekend and my darling son decided that playing in the bird bath was better than playing in a huge pool.
I absolutely love this picture, but I am not sure what to call my page? I have been looking in books and can't find what I'm looking for. Any suggestions??
We have received a variety of chipboard cutouts and there are these Bartz Packs. So it got me thinking about Shanice and her friends - they all seem to love the Bratz. I thought this would be the perfect birthday card to give to one of her friends.
