Okay I have started with card-making but I don’t think that I am going to have classes for this just yet; I will only have classes at the shop upon request.

From January 2009 I am going to TRY and do 1 (maybe more than 1) card a month with step by step instructions.

So if you have any suggestions or cards you would like to see on the blog let me know!

OR

If you have a card you have made and would like to share it with us email me the step by step instructions with pictures & I will post it on the blog.

As a matter of fact if there is anything you would like to share with us let me know canica@spunky.co.za

My Pink Puppy

Pink Pup 1

PP Tag Front

PP Tag Back

This is my Christmas present from Susan - isn't she cute. I loved the way Susan did the tag! I think this is another great idea for a Christmas card / Tag.

Christmas Tags

I decorated some wooden tags using scraps of paper and I printed my Christmas quotes onto tracing paper. These are great to use for Christmas decorations, gift tags, your Christmas cards or even on your pages.

You are the Christmas of my life... Everyday of my life -Unknown

XMAS1

 TIPS.

1.      1.
Printing onto tracing paper is a great way to
create page titles as well as your own float   notes.

 2.    2. The little golden frame with red & white bow
– I used an old slide. What I did was ink it with gold ink and then sprinkled
it with gold embossing powder. When I started heating the embossing powder the
plastic slide started to melt. Once I was done I covered it with some
dimensional glaze and added a bow to decorate.

Altered Filo Fax

I bought this Filo Fax the beginning of this year, I could not use it because it was dated for 2005. I have been searching for months now and could not find the mini refills. So yesterday I had this vision of this little Filo Fax being the perfect BRAG BOOK.

I kept the cover quite simple all I added was 2 metal flowers - I did not want to embellish the cover because when the book is in a handbag the goodies might fall off. I used the pages that were in the book as a template to create my own pages out of card-stock and the rest is quite simple, DECORATE!

I really love all the little pockets in the Filo Fax - great for lots of tags.

Jay! Another Christmas gift done!

Christmas Gifts (Idea)

I have eventually started making my Christmas gifts. I
started with these two.

I made an origami box and in the box a 16 page mini
album. I think this is a prefect gift for young ladies! This is quick &
easy to make, and all you need is 4 pieces of paper and some embellishments.

Box1

Box2

Go check out Aussie Scrap Source for step by step instructions for the origami box.

Box Frame

Box Frame

You buy these boxes filled with flowers – So I decided to
make a frame using the box.

I took a 10 X 15 cm photo stuck in the box, used some
dimensional glaze on the polka dots, added flowers, swirls and butterflies –
and voila a beautiful box frame.

Here is a great gift idea!

Christmas Cards

Once again I have been busy with scraps of paper and I used them to make some Christmas cards. I have used Heritage Glitter Varnish Spray – Rainbow coloured and Heritage Petal Porcelain on the cards – it just add that Christmas sparkle.
Below is a picture that I sprayed with the glitter varnish and I think it’s a good idea to use products like these to add that special touch to your cards.
